I
wanted to
become a
teacher
since I was
in
elementary
school. I
achieved my
dream and I
am currently
teaching
fifth grade.
I have
taught many
grade levels
in the past
23 years,
but have
found the
fifth grade
to be
especially
rewarding.
This is an
important
transitional
grade and
students are
eager to
continue to
be
independent
learners.
I read many
books with
my class
last year,
both fiction
and
nonfiction.
Together as
a class we
read seven
books. In
addition
each child
read five
books
individually.
My goal this
year is to
read ten
books with
my class.
In order to
enliven
science and
social
studies
classes, I
encourage
the students
to make
various
projects
which bring
together all
of the
elements
that they
have
studied. The
science
experiments
we perform
in class
spark
students’
interest and
encourage
them to want
to learn
more.
My
commitment
to the
students of
Corpus
Christi
School is to
give the
best of my
ability and
make
learning
enjoyable.
It is my
philosophy
that with
God anything
is possible
and we pray
daily for
each other
and all of
those people
who surround
us.
