Bella Malek
- Eighth
Grade
Teacher
My
name is
Mrs.
Bella B.
Malek,
and I am a
teacher! I
teach
because I
love to help
children
receive the
instruction
that they
need to
develop
academically,
socially,
emotionally
and most of
all
spiritually.
I am the
Eighth Grade
teacher this
school year.
I like
teaching in
the middle
school
because I
can bring
the best
among them
as they move
into a high
school
setting.
In order to
prepare my
students for
lifetime
learning and
achieve
their
personal
best, I
instill
values
through my
classroom
methods.
These values
are
Christ-like
behavior,
necessary
skills,
passion for
learning and
individual
confidence
while
practicing
these
values. No
matter what
I teach, I
incorporate
Christian
faith and
values into
it.
Last year my
Reading
class read
so many
books inside
and outside
the
classroom
setting. I
made sure
that Reading
and Writing
were central
part of
their day.
Their
response to
the Read 100
Challenge
was
stupendous!
My students’
great
interest in
reading
books helped
me to
articulate
in useful
ways the
values and
processes
that brought
me to
teaching
literature
and writing
to them.
Working in
groups, my
students
have
presented
projects
like writing
scripts for
plays, mock
trials and
made text to
text
connection
from one
novel to the
other to get
to the main
theme.
I have spent
most of my
teaching
years at
Corpus
Christi
School. Our
school as a
community
work
together to
create a
safe, caring
environment
based on
Christian
values and
service to
others.
I am looking
forward to
working with
you on a
very
enriching
Eighth Grade
curriculum
this school
year. I hope
you are too!
