Corpus Christi School had its first Annual Walk-a-thon on Friday, April 30. The day began with a prayer service that focused on God's Creation. The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students recited the Canticle of the Sun which was written many, many years ago by St. Francis of Assisi. The younger children helped us to pledge our commitment to caring for the gifts of nature, and the youngest offered petitions for the continued health of Mother Earth. Then, they walked on age appropriate routes in our neighborhood and returned to a special lunch provided by our School Parents Association (SPA).
